I have flown several times with a one-piece Greenland paddle (actually two, including my spare paddle).  I bought a PVC section long-enough to hold them and I probably paid for an extra checked bag.  I may have used a ski bag to hold the package.  When I was younger I did such things.  Tom

Have a friend that got the 3-piece Gram paddle for this reason specifically.

Travel yes    3 piece didn’t fit in my roller back but it did in a friends

I routinely fly with 2 part paddles in a golf bag or a single part paddle in a ski bag. My three part paddles do fit in regular luggage, which is nice.

Has anyone flown with a 3 piece traditional paddle? I currently own a 2 piece, but am considering a 3 piece. Do they fit in a duffle bag with other gear? Or do you still need to package it separately as a piece of checkin baggage? Any tips appreciated. Thanks ... Tracy
