EPI kayak
Author Last Post

The Perception Prodigy XS is a great kayak for kids. I just outfitted the one my kids have with perimeter deck lines so we can more easily work on rescues. Idk why but my 5 y/o and my 10 y/o really like doing assisted rescues lol

The EPI part of the name is for Englehart Products, Inc. EPIsea is one model in a line of similarly named products from them, e.g. Epitot, Epibrat, Epitike, etc. They were (are?) in Cleveland, Ohio. Likely gone now.

Another to explore is the Perception Prodigy XS.

You might also want to watch for Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120 SP (small person) model kayaks. They are sea kayaks scaled to fit most 8 to 13 year olds. WS dropped the model from production several years ago but I still regularly see them pop up used.

Doing a regional search on Facebook Marketplace there is one for sale in Peabody, Massachusetts, for $300 and another in Stoneham, Mass., for $600, another in West Newbury for $500.

What are "EPI kayaks".  I searched but came up empty on that acronym.
